To provide members with the best in health care, outside or inside the home, Cambridge At Home has formed allies with the largest home health-care provider in the area, and with two outstanding local hospitals.
HouseWorks provides a full range of home-care services that are tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client. Their services are available on an hourly, daily, or live-in basis - 24 hours a day, seven days a week - with continuous emergency coverage. All services are provided by experienced HouseWorks employees who have had thorough reference and background checks. The services include personal care, homemaking, medication management, assistance with medical equipment, home adaptation and heavy cleaning.
A local company that was founded in 1998, HouseWorks has been the preferred home-care provider for Beacon Hill Village since that organization was started five years ago. HouseWorks offers a discount to our members.
Senior Services at Mount Auburn Hospital provide geriatric care for older adults. Their services include the HouseCalls program, providing physician visits for homebound individuals over 65. Physicians work closely with home-care visiting nurses by coordinating and supervising ongoing care and support for patients in their homes.
Additional services are home care, geriatric social workers, the Lifeline personal emergency-response system, nutritional counseling, therapy (physical, occupational and speech), sleep disorder clinics, and mental health services for older adults.
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is an innovative, award-winning health system that provides high quality care in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston's metro-north communities. Cambridge Health Alliance has several doctors in the community who specialize in senior health issues. Senior Health Connections is a free phone service that provides resource, referral and health information to patients, families, and providers.
